Poster of AAFT launched at Cannes

Cannes: AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television is participating in the first ever Mobile Cinema Presentation at Cannes, France during the 72^nd International Film Festival at Cannes.

A poster of this first presentation was launched at the India Pavilion to highlight first ever Mobile Cinema Competition. “ We are feeling proud to be the part of this first ever Mobile Cinema Presentation at Cannes. I am thankful to Ministry of Information And Broadcasting, Government of India for providing us this platform to launch the poster,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“I am happy to be here and privileged to release the poster of AAFT presentation in Mobile Cinema,” said Padamshri A.K.Bir renowned filmmaker and National Award winner from India.

“We started the first ever Mobile Film Festival 12 years back in India –International Festival of Cellphone Cinema and now it has grown very big. This time we received 6500 entries from all over the World. We started another one in Budapest Hungry and now part of Cannes Cellphone Cinema Competition,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh filmmaker from New York.

Many filmmakers from all over the World attended the event. The India Pavilion was full of excitement and appreciation. AAFT Alumnus Amit Agarwal and renowned actress from United Kingdom Katianna Ley joined in poster release.

Sandeep Marwah Attracted Film Makers at Cannes

“We are pleased to announce 196 Scholarships to 196 different countries of the World for the deserving student who is keen in learning films in India,” declared Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Film And Television at 72^nd Cannes Film International Festival at France suggesting to international film organisations.

“We also have provision to celebrate 12 festivals in a year country wise, say one in month for films from different countries, We will be pleased to entertain four to six films for every festival,” added Marwah while talking to the film makers of different countries.

Marwah Studios, AAFT and ICMEI will also invite known filmmakers that are producers, directors, actors and technicians for the coming 12^thGlobal Film Festival Noida 2019. AAFT is also keen in conducting workshops by these known people.

Sandeep Marwah of Republic of India became centre of attraction. Marwah had more than fifty meetings with filmmakers of many countries who are keen to be on the education board.

Sandeep Marwah Jury to Global Short Film Award at Cannes

Cannes: Well known Indian Film, Television and Media personality Sandeep Marwah was the Co-President of Jury for Global Short Film Awards Cannes.

 Cannes Global Short Film Awards Gala and Luxury Fashion Shows is held during the world-famous Cannes International Film Festival. This was the fourth edition this time. Global Short Film Awards, established in 2015, recognises excellence in short films less than 15 minutes long in a variety of subjects.

“The competition is open to both amateur and professional filmmakers from around the world. The competition provides creative filmmakers with a platform to showcase their work thereby gaining exposure and recognition as well as connecting with decision makers in the industry for possible further business, distribution and purchase,” said Sandeep Marwah to the press at Hotel Intercontinental Carlton Cannes.

GSF Awards founder and director Andres Aquino identified this as an opportunity to combine top-notch fashion and entertainment while recognising exceptional short films in a glitzy upscale event.

Sandeep Marwah's work appreciated at Cannes

Within the hustle and bustle of International Cannes Film Festival Sandeep Marwah met many film makers of different countries and informed them about the organisations he is Chairing in India.

“We are looking for joint ventures for short films, we are keen in starting Mobile Cinema in many countries, We are also interested in foreign directors to direct documentary on Indian subject,” Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at Hotel Intercontinental Carlton in a   meeting with film makers.

“We have provision to broadcast all those short films and   full length which could not manage its screening yet. Our television would   love to help those producers and directors to have screening at MSTV.CO.IN.” added Marwah.

We have also scope for producers who want their music numbers to be broadcast on Radio Noida and MSTV informed Marwah.

Sandeep Marwah on Jury of Mobile Cinema Presentation at Cannes

Renowned filmmaker and film educationist from India Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as the jury member and Vice President of the Jury of the first ever Mobile Cinema Festival organised by Artisan Festival International at Cannes during 72^ndCannes International Film Festival 2019.

A F I World Cinema Initiative provides the opportunity for a select group of filmmakers to submit their films to our Filmmaker program, geared towards taking independent filmmakers into the international industry, and showing them how to expand their own projects into this market place.  We are happy to showcase a diverse line-up of narratives, documentaries, short films, music videos, webisodes, and video art,” said Angelique Monét is an American multi-media talent and former Ms. Black South Carolina USA.

This Filmmaker Program will provide exposure and the necessary tools to understand the market place and enjoy what Cannes has to offer. This program is hosted by veterans with years of experience working the festival environment of Cannes and the marketplace.

AAFT awarded as best mobile documentary film at Cannes Mobile Festival

“A Connaught Tail” directed by Salman Mozaffar from AAFT won AFI World Peace Initiative Awards during the 72^nd Cannes International Film Festival 2019. It was adjudged the best documentary filmed on Cellphone.

“I had the honour to receive on behalf of the Asian Academy of Film And Television the award for the best documentary announced for the film from AAFT. It was a great moment; never any Mobile film has ever been honoured in Cannes from India. I am proud of my students,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

The well known film and television person Sandeep Marwah represented India in 72^nd Cannes International Film Festival and was invited by the Netherland Government to their Get Together.

We are keen in developing business with Netherlands. A scholarship for the deserving student to learn cinema in India can also be handed over to the Ambassador of Netherlands in India. A festival of films from Netherland is also due in Delhi and Marwah Studios can take full initiative to do so,” said Sandeep Marwah attracting film makers to India.

AAFT is going to Join Hands With Film Maker From Korea Eun Oh of ARK Cinema & Film Maker From Hungary Zoi Florosz of Kyrke Productions very soon. The interaction at Cannes will be taken to the second round of meetings very soon.

“I am making a film which is going to be the tribute to my parents who were great artists, probably I might go to India to add colors to the film,” said Zoi Florosz of Kyrke Production in Hungary. Indo Hungarian Film And Cultural Forum will support the film.

My project is almost ready to launch and we will welcome support from Indo Korean Film And Cultural Forum,” added Eun Oh of ARK Cinema from Korea.

Sandeep Marwah Visits Different Pavilion at Cannes

The President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah visited pavilions of   different countries participating in Cannes International Film Festival 2019.

“I am pleased to note that every country has something or other to offer to film makers. It can be extra ordinary and beautiful locations, a cash subsidy on film shootings, may be hotels and food facilities, experts and trained manpower for film production. It is worth meeting large number of Governments at the same times,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while noting the details at Cannes Exhibition Grounds at the festival.

Sandeep Marwah is the only person in India representing 50 countries as their cultural representative, brand Ambassador, Cultural Ambassador, Chair for Cultural Forums etc.

Sandeep Marwah was well received by every pavilion he visited and offered the services of the Chamber to different filmmakers and Governments to develop and promote business between India and their country.

India's Presence must be felt at Cannes acknowledged Dr. Marwah

 “Marwah Studios is the first professional Film Studios of North India. We have churned out 4500 television programs for more than 50 Channel. We are associated with around 150 feature films in 8 different languages. Around 5000 training films have been produced from the studios,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios talking to press at Hotel Intercontinental Carlton at Cannes International Film Festival.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City the fastest growing film city in the World. The 100 acres complex has 75 acres for outdoor and there are 16 studios in 25 acres of Land. Around 400 Chanels are being broadcast to 162 nations from Noida Film City. Approximately 17000 media professionals are working there in 3 shifs of 8 hours each. National Day of Paraguay Celebrated at AAFT

The Committee on the country of Paraguay Celebrated the National Day of Paraguay at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Fleming Raul Duarte Ramos, the Ambassador of Paraguay to India and the people of Paraguay our best wishes on the National Day. May relation between India and Paraguay may prosper every day,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios in a conference to high light the relation between the two countries.

Diplomatic relations between India and Paraguay were established on 13 September 1961. Paraguay opened its embassy in India in March 2006. Paraguay supported India’s bid for election to the UN Human Rights Council for the term 2015-17 informed Dr. Marwah.

As of December 2016, around 600 Indians, 200 of whom are Indian citizens, reside in Paraguay, primarily in the city of Ciudad del Est in south-eastern Paraguay. The community is mostly of Gujarati and Sindhi origin. They are primarily engaged in trade, wholesale and retail businesses

International Family Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios

Although families all over the world have transformed greatly over the past decades in terms of their structure and as a result of global trends and demographic changes, the United Nations still recognises the family as the basic unit of society. It is celebrated on 15^th May all over the World.

“The International Day of Families provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting them,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. He is also Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Association and Associated with UNIC- United Nations Information Centre.

It has inspired a series of awareness-raising events, including national family days. In many countries, this day is an opportunity to highlight different areas of interest and importance to families. WPDRF- World Peace Development And Research Foundation supported the event at Marwah Studios.

AAFT School of Animation Celebrated Achievements of 2018-19

AAFT School of Graphics And Animation organised a get together with all the students of different courses and years to celebrate the last working day of education and high light its achievements of the year.

“Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are drawn We are lucky to start our graphics and animation department way back in 1991 when there was no soft wares to even design graphics for the titles of the film. The journey has been very interesting and marvellous,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Graphics And Animation.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his experience of this department and appreciated the work of students in designing, animation, graphics, editing, gaming and the innovating ideas which they have put in learning the new soft wares, programs and techniques while using the most important and expensive computers.

The staff and the administration of the school joined the show followed by entertainment program presented by the students.

ICMEI Conducts seminar on Environment and Climate

To celebrate the Mother Earth Day a seminar cum workshop was organised by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry at Vishwa Bharti Public School in Noida.

More than 4500 students were sensitised in the school and around 1000 student participated in drawing competition projecting environment and global warming. All the students were motivated by presenting them a participation certificates and mementos.

“Global warming is a phenomenon of climate change characterised by a general increase in average temperatures of the Earth, which modifies the weather balances and ecosystems for a long time. It is directly linked to the increase of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, worsening the greenhouse effect,” informed Dr. K.D.Gupta Chairman of Environment Committee of ICMEI.

“The exploitation of forests has a major role in climate change. Trees help regulate the climate by absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere. When they are cut down, this positive effect is lost and the carbon stored in the trees is released into the atmosphere,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and AAFT

The Ambassador of Morocco to India recently launched Indo Morocco Film And Cultural Forum during the second day of 3rd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2019 in the presence of national and international people from entertainment, fashion and design fraternity.

“We are privileged to have with us the Ambassador of Morocco to India H.E. Mohamed Maliki to inaugurate the committee on Morocco under the name of Indo Morocco Film And Cultural Forum. The association will work on the development and promotion of Indian and Moroccan relations through art and culture,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

H.E. Mohamed Maliki Ambassador of Morocco to India has been honoured with the Patron of newly formed Indo Morocco Film And Cultural Forum during the 3^rd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2019 in a grand function.

“International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry has formed its new committee under the name and banner of Indo Morocco Film And Cultural Forum and H. E. Mohamed Maliki Ambassador of Morocco is now Patron to the organization,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the Chamber.

“It is a great pleasure and honor to be associated with international organization like ICMEI who all thought to create first ever Indo Morocco organization to promote art and culture on international level. I congratulate all the members of ICMEI for this gesture,” said Mohamed Maliki Ambassador to India.

Mohamed Maliki is graduate in literature and trained in Strategic Studies and Diplomatic Studies in Morocco, Pakistan, Malaysia and the United States. Ambassador Maliki has over two decades experience.

He started his career as a First Secretary of Foreign Affairs in charge of Technical Cooperation with African countries, he has wide experience in African and Asian affairs having served in Cameroon from 1994 to 2000 and at the Directorate of Asia and Oceania Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco till his appointment as ambassador to India. From July 2003 to August 2007, he had been the Deputy Ambassador at the Moroccan Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan.

An award function to honor all those women who have done well in life, was organized by a social organization Weaving Dreams under the leadership of Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Gulati at Hotel Taj Vivanta Dwarka at New Delhi.

International Labour Day celebrated at Marwah Studios

“International Labor Day — also known as May Day or International Workers’ Day — celebrates the struggle, dedication and commitment of the working class and is an annual public holiday in several countries. While many of us know it as an extra off day at work, very few are aware of its origins,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations while talking to the young aspirants of media at Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“The genesis of this day is in the labor union movement in the United States in the 19th Century, when industrialists exploited the labor class and made them work at least 15 hours a day. The movement involved protests that delivered a strong blow to the cycle of exploitation and made eight-hour working days a reality,” added Dr. Marwah who is also patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

103rd Batch of AAFT Inaugrated at Marwah Studios

 

A grand function was organized to inaugurate the 103^rd session of the premier film school of the country at Noida Film City. AAFT has been rated as first ten best film schools of the World.

“When people start following your ways and style, your courses and syllabus, your ways of conducting education and training it gives you immense pleasure and satisfaction as it is proved that you are elected as leader without election. That is what AAFT is today,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT introducing guests to the new batch of trainees.

“There is no alternate to hard work, you should only chase your dreams, you are bound to be successful,” said Sharad Kohli Chartered accountant and TV presenter who has completed around 600 episodes on different channels.

“Patience and preservation will get you results. The training and education at AAFT is the first step to enter into this industry,” added Abhinav Chaturvedi a presenter and an actor of Hum Log fame.

Dr. Anzalika Gupta from Russia, Darina Miss Ukraine Plus Size & Media Personality From Ukraine, Stacy Darlington Miss Diamond UK & Motivational Speaker From United Kingdom and Anil Varma of Star Publication also expressed and delivered motivational speech to the students.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored all the dignities with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT. Yogesh Mishra Dean conducted the program and Aamir Abdullah Director AAFT proposed vote of thanks.

Stars of 102nd Batch bid their Farewell from Marwah Studios

Seventy students of Short Term Course from AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television celebrated their success when 102^nd Convocation was held at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“We are the only institution in the World where we have been able to conduct 102 sessions of short term courses in film, television and media. AAFT has been rated as one of the ten best film schools of the World. We are thankful to Government for making AAFT as first Film University in this country,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

“I am observing from so many years the working of this institution, very gradually AAFT has created a wonderful niche for itself and same with the students of this institution. I bless you all to do well in the industry and create a wonderful name for yourself and for the institution,” said T.P. Agarwal President Film Federation of India and Indian Motion Picture & TV Producers Association at the convocation of 102th batch.

Moroccan Ambassador to India Mohamed Maliki nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios as the Chair of newly formed Indo Morocco Film And Cultural Forum during the 3^rd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2019 at a function supported by ICMEI.

“We are going to built further our strong relations with India through art and culture under the leadership of great International personality Dr. Sandeep who has initiated so well the idea of creating a powerful forum,” said H.E. Mohamed Maliki Ambassador of Morocco to India while presenting the memento to Dr. Sandeep Marwah.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is six times World Record holder; recipient of 600 awards from all over the World and has been titled as Global Cultural Minister. He is the founder of Noida Film City, Asian Education Group and now has been nominated by Government as Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts.

“I take this responsibility handed over to me by Government of Morocco very humbly to develop and promote relations between India and Morocco. I will see to it that people of India know about Morocco much more than what they know now,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah accepting the Chair.

H.E. Eleonora Dimitrova Ambassador of Bulgaria to India, BJP Leader Kuljeet Chahal, first lady of Algeria to India Yahia Cherif Yassina, wife of Deputy Head of the Mission Embassy of Tunisia Boujdaria Rim, Mohammed Benzakour & Hicham Bayar of Embassy of Morocco were also present there.

Eleonora Dimitrova Patron to Indo Bulgaria Cultural Forum

It was the second day of 3^rd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2019 and H.E. Eleneora Dimitrova Ambassador of Bulgaria to India was the guest of honour at the event at Marwah Studios.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry honoured H.E. Eleneora Dimitrova with the Patron-ship of Indo Bulgaria Film And Cultural Forum in the presence of large audience gathered to witness vibrant fashion shows.

“We are feeling elevated with the presence of Her Excellency Eleonora Dimitrova who has accepted to be the patron of Indo Bulgaria Film and Cultural Forum and will guide us as to what more we can do to build a strong ties with Bulgaria,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah presenting the memento to Eleonora.

“What a pleasure to be here at 3^rd Global Fashion Week where my country is also participating. ICMEI has done a great job and we together will build a better world with art and culture. I am pleased to be associated with Indo Bulgarian Film And Cultural Forum,” said H.E. Dimitrova accepting the memento.

Eleonora Dimitrova joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Bulgaria in 2001. She has finished her Masters Degree in International Economic Relations from University of Economic and learned English, Portuguese and German Languages.

Earlier She has been on different designations as Director, Press centre Directorate, MFA of the Republic of Bulgaria. She was Counsellor, EU policies and institutions Directorate, MFA of the Republic of Bulgaria. She was also Deputy head of mission, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brasilia, Brazil.

Sandeep Marwah Honoured for his contribution for Boxing

Four Major events have taken place in the premises of Marwah Studios including two international pro fights under the leadership of Sandeep Marwah, the patron to Boxing Federation.

“Bringing awareness to   international sports in India, organizing events   to encourage sports persons, motivate them by presenting awards and recognition, creating platform for the training of the games and providing your own infrastructure for promotional activities including meetings, seminars, workshops etc. and starting a   boxing club with AAFT University is more than our expectations. We owe a lot to Dr. Sandeep Marwah,” said Amjad Khan President of Amjadkhan Foundation while presenting memento to Marwah.

“I am happy that I could do something for the promotion of sports. Now we have created another committee of sports in International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry,” thanked Sandeep Marwah.

3rd Global Fashion and Week Emphasised on Education

The enthusiasm was as good as the first day of the fashion and design week at Marwah Studios. The 8^th session of third day brought many fashion & design students and educational institution to Noida Film City where much professionals and teachers participated in the seminar.

“We are happy to announce that now we have become a university- AAFT University of Media And Arts has started giving more emphasis to fashion and design department. A research wing has been associated along with AAFT Fashion School,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the University.

“Hands-on training and industry exposure are essential for obtaining employment in fashion design. Aspiring fashion designers may gain such experience through internship programs,. These programs allow interns to apply their fashion knowledge and skills and contribute to the company’s design efforts under the guidance of experienced designers and executives,” said Dr. Kusum Chopra former Chairperson of the Fashion Design Dept. of NIFT.

Vikas Chaturvedi Costume Designer, Manish Ahuja Designer, Pria Chauhan Academician, Dr. Jyoti Agarwal Professor, Simmi Bhagat Professor, Ritu Lal, and Albeena Abbas expressed their ideas as how to conduct the education and training of fashion and design subject.

The discussion covered garments, jewelry, furniture, textile, photography and display and presentation of products. Later every one also appreciated the exhibitions during the week showcasing extra ordinary involvement of students in textile designing, jewellery designing, furniture, paintings and photography exhibitions.

The dignities released the coffee table book of Shubham Sharma under the name and title – ‘Bazars of India’. Dr. Sandeep Marwah informed and read the congratulatory messages receiving from all over the World on such a massive show.

The session was followed by a well-organised fashion show where many designers showcased their range from different countries associated with AAFT and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Swastika Gupta designed the range from Country of Lebanon; Dakshita & Bhagyashree showcased range from Venezuela. Sambit Mohanty recreated designs from Peru, Roshni Singh emphasised on Fiji fashion, Sandeep Kumar brought Bahamas to the ramp, Aayushi Raghav & Tanya Varshney covered Maldives, Avisha Adhikari & Riya Dobhal were influenced by Bulgaria, Bharat Bhushan displayed Nepal and Vishal Sharma made models to wear garments influenced by the Republic of Romania.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented and honoured all the dignities with the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Marwah Studios.
