Noida: Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI, Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum presented Patron Ship of the forum to H.E. Carlos Rafael Polo Castaneda in a grand function at Marwah Studios.

H.E. Carlos R Polo completed his Bachelors in Psychology and Law. He has done his diploma in International Affairs. He has been earlier the Director General of Consular Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Government of Peru.

After Consul General of Peru in Houston in United States of America he has been the Ambassador of Peru in Morocco. Now he has been the Ambassador of Peru in India with additional charge of Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Great Peru Evening at International Headquarters of ICMEI

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University and Embassy of Peru had a great musical evening at Marwah Studios.

It was a rare occasion of amalgamation of music by Rajasthani group by Gazi Khan Barna and Peruvian music group consisting of Chano Diaz Limaco, Kito Linares Bazalar and Tomás Diaz Limaco.

A two hours musical extravaganza not only impressed but mesmerized the audience. “I take this opportunity to thank H.E. Carlos Polo the Ambassador of Peru to India for bringing such a talented artist from Peru. The jugal bandi was too good to express through words,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the Chamber. Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated Folk Festival in Delhi

New Delhi: A first folk festival under the title Riwayat –Surge of Euphoria was organised by Bindu Cherungath at Dr.Ambedkar International Centre at New Delhi to promote the different genre of theatre and music.

“Indian culture is strong and its not going to die as predicted by many people who are not in art and culture. It is into the nervous system of India and Indians. A friendly match won everyones heart - Sandeep Marwah

New Delhi: The sports field of The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj was resplendent with glory as it hosted a friendly soccer match between GURULAC (Group of Latin American and the Caribbean Countries) versus rest of the World. The unfurling of the Flags of participating countries gave vivid hues to the horizon of The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj premises.

The Soccer match was organized by Fauzia of Cultural GURULAC India in association with AAFT University, International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Marwah Studios.

The event started at an auspicious note with presentation of a “Ganesh Stuti” by the School Alumni followed by the display of cultural diversity through a conglomeration of varied dance styles presented by the Students of an NGO “ Sarvam”.

With head held high and a confident smile on their face, the two teams marched into the ground and shook hands with each other. The match commenced soon after the “ National Anthem”.

The match was played in “Friendly Spirit of the Game” and winning and losing was not relevant to the objective behind the event. It certainly generated goodwill among the participating nations.

Kunal Rawal sets the stage on first day of AAFT Fashion School.

Noida: “You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it. Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself. I think there is beauty in everything. What ‘normal’ people perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it,” said Kunal Rawal in his speech to the young and new aspirants of design industry at the inauguration of new session of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

Youthful and highly acclaimed menswear designer Kunal Rawal got his qualifications from London College of Fashion (LCF) with a specialisation in merchandising. He did his cinema course from AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television. He is the youngest designer in history to make a debut at Lakme Fashion Week.

Kunal Rawal launched his label ‘Dstress’ in the year 2006, having his signature designs best described as “cultivated imperfection.” He has also designed outfits for IPL cricket teams Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, which comprised of fashionable active wear for off-field events.

Noida: IVFCF- Indo Vietnam Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organised a powerful workshop and roadshow on the tourism of Vietnam recently at Marwah Studios.

“The Republic of India and the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam enjoy strong bilateral relations. Cultural and economic links between India and Vietnam date back to 2^nd century. In contemporary era, relations between India and Vietnam have been governed by several areas of shared political interests,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and initiated the program.

Speaking at the event, H.E. Pham Sanh Chau Ambassador of Vietnam to India and Patron to Indo Vietnam Cultural Forum recalled the long-standing history and cultural ties between Vietnam and India, including Buddhism and yoga.

He highlighted that Indian airline IndiGo recently launched Kolkata – Hanoi direct air service and is preparing for the launch of New Delhi – Ho Chi Minh City route. Vietnam has also offered e-visas at border gates, thus simplifying procedures for Indian travellers to Vietnam.

AAFTian Miss Vidisha Baliyan Miss. Deaf World 2019

Noida: Excitement spread out in the whole campus of AAFT University when the news of winning by Vidisha Baliyan, a modelling student from AAFT, the international tittle of Miss Deaf World 2019 at competition at South Africa on Friday.

“AAFTian Vidhisha Baliyan, a 21-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh, became the first Indian to win the Miss Deaf World pageant. Baliyan was chosen the winner among 11 finalists from 16 participating countries in the final. The South African contestant was the runner-up. The Miss and Mister Deaf World pageant was first organized in 2001,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University.

Originally from Muzaffarnagar in UP Baliyan’s family currently lives in Ghaziabad. She trained for the pageant in Gurgaon and Noida. She is also a former international tennis player and has represented India in the Deaflympics. She participated in the beauty pageant after a severe back injury.

“I was inspired to participate in the pageant to gain confidence and develop my personality from AAFT. Through this platform I also want to motivate the deaf community to focus on the talent they have, and not be upset about what they don’t have,” she said.

Workshop by Italian Designer Angelo Garini at AAFT

Noida: “Ambassador of Italian beauty in the world, he collaborates at events and summits in which he promotes the artistic, cultural and natural wealth of Italy. Angelo deals with events with an attentive eye to the history of art and Italian style, with a design-type approach, where flowers, fabrics and lights are important elements of a show that stages marriage as a great representation,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios introducing Angelo Garini.

“For over two years he started with building relationships with India with the main objective- to propose to the Indians, who are discovering Italy as a top wedding destination,” added Madhavi Advani the India representative of Angelo Garini.

John Hayes Conducts workshop on Media at AAFT

Noida: John Hayes of Sheffield Hallam University conducted a powerful workshop on digital media for the media students of AAFT at Noida Film City.

“John has been course leader for the BA/MArt Digital Media Production and BA/MArt Games Design courses, as well as Departmental Head of Learning, Teaching and Assessment. He is currently a Principal Lecturer and International Business Developer where he is responsible for international recruitment and partnership development,” introduced Amir Abdullah director School of Cinema.

John studied BEng Software Engineering at the University of Sheffield and then completed an EPSRC sponsored MSc in Networked Information Engineering. In its 22nd edition, the World Culture Camp will remain active till July 18 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center and Haeundae Beach.
The program started with a concert by world-class Russian musicians and the Gracias Choir, which performed at the opening ceremony.

In addition, the seventh World Education Leaders Forum opened at Busan National University, attended by 100 representatives of universities chancellors, Vice Chancellors and Directors of the colleges from 30 countries. It will serve as a platform for participants to share their experience with character education and discuss new possibilities in the field.

After the four successful Pro Fight Events in various cities across India, the 5th Edition Pro-Fight Night held at Marwah Studio, Noida Film City on 30th March 2019, was organized by Amjad Khan Boxing Foundation in association with AAFT University, International Chambers of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) affiliated with Indian Boxing Council (IBC). The event exhibited a demo fight between two young kids and 11 pro-boxing fight in different weight categories between India and Afghanistan.

Inspired by boxing sensation Vijendra Singh, many boxers are taking baby steps to jump into Pro Boxing championship to bring glory to the country through professional boxing and making it a source of income to establish them. With an aim to provide a platform to these Professional Boxing Indian players who have brought glory and medals representing India in Olympics.

Commonwealth Games, Asian Championships and many State & National champions, the Indian Boxing Council (IBC) offers platform to such great players through professional boxing fight events organized by boxing promoters such as Amjad Khan.

South Korea welcomes Sandeep Marwah

AAFTian at Miss Teen Universe Competition

Noida: Nothing can be more interesting when AAFTian Samragyi and Preetika Pahwa won the second highest and third highest tittle out of the competition held in India for the selection of Miss Teen India Universe for Miss Teen Universe.

A national level beauty pageant was held under the guidance and control of Miss Teen Universe USA for the selection of Indian representative to Miss Teen Universe. Where the title went to a girl Sushmitaa Singh from Mumbai and 1^st Runners up and second Runners up went to Samragyi and Preetika Pahwa of AAFT University girls from Department of Cinema.

“I am more than lucky to even participate in this kind of International event. The competition was tough and   it needed lots of preparation. Thanks to my School where we were provided with international exposure and all the facilities to groom our self with,” said Smaragyi the winner of 1^st Runners up.

“To be a second runner up in an international beauty pageant is just a dream. AAFT is the place where your dreams     are converted into reality. I am indebted to my teachers for making me so capable to face the world at this age so confidently,” said Preetika Pahwa.

Sandeep Marwah Patron to Mission Green Foundation

Noida: The renowned spiritual leader Dr. Sandeep Marwah president of   World Peace Development And Research Foundation has been requested to be the patron of Mission Green Foundation based in Haryana.

International Day against Drug Abuse Celebrated at AAFT

Noida: The General Assembly decided to observe 26 June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse.

Supported each year by individuals, communities and various organisations all over the world, this global observance aims to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society. Known singer Ashok Masti released a poster on this occasion.

“This year’s theme highlights that justice and health are two sides of the same coin when it comes to addressing drug problems,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations in a press meet at Marwah Studios.

“Effective responses to the world drug problem require inclusive and accountable institutions of criminal justice, health and social services to work hand in hand to provide integrated solutions, in line with the international drug control conventions, human rights obligations and the Sustainable Development Goals,” added Dr. Marwah while addressing the students of AAFT University.

Indo South African Cultural Forum Moves Further

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry invited Officers from High Commissioner of South Africa to discuss further as to what more can be added to the current affairs of the forum.

Indo South Africa Cultural Association was proposed and inaugurated by then the special guest of President of India and visiting State Guest from South Africa Her Excellency Elizabeth Thabethe Deputy Minister for Trade And Industry, Government of South Africa, way back in 2013 informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

India and Libya will work together for promotion of Art

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and President of AAFT University was invited by H.E. Ahmed H. M. Gebreel Charge d’ Affairs of The Embassy of The State of Libya to discuss the promotion of relations between two countries.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah briefed Ahmed Gebreel about the working of ICMEI and requested the Charge d’ Affaires to inaugurate the committee on Libya at ICMEI.

We are pleased to inform you that we have a committee on Libya in ICMEI and students forum on Libya in AAFT University. Our most of the International summits are attended by Libyan officers also,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

International Olympic Day Celebrated at AAFT

Noida: Olympic Day was introduced in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games on 23 June 1894 at the Sorbonne in Paris. The goal was to promote participation in sport across the globe regardless of age, gender or athletic ability informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University and Patron to Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

Olympic Day is celebrated all around the world: hundreds of thousands of people – young and old – participate in sports activities, such as runs, exhibitions, music and educational seminars.

“Olympic Day is nowadays developing into much more than just a sports event. Based on the three pillars “move”, “learn” and “discover”, National Olympic Committees are deploying sports, cultural and educational activities,” said Paul Song Director of International Youth Fellowship Korea based in Delhi.

“Some countries have incorporated the event into the school curriculum and, in recent years, many NOCs have added concerts and exhibitions to the celebration,” added Kim Soo Yeon Director International Youth Fellowship, Korea.

Commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic games, Olympic Day is not only a celebration, but an international effort to promote fitness and well-being in addition to the Olympic ideals of Fair Play, Perseverance, Respect and Sportsmanship.

Postage Stamp on Mahatma Gandhi Released at Czech Republic Embassy

New Delhi: A postage stamp to comrade 150^th Anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Government of   Czech Republic released a stamp on Mahatma Gandhi at Embassy of Czech Republic in New Delhi.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University, the visiting Director General of Ministry of Trade from Czech Republic Richard Hlavaty, Milan Hovorka Ambassador of Czech Republic to India, released the Stamp. Roman Masarik Deputy Head of The Mission conducted the event.

“It is great pleasure and honor for me to release the new postage stamp on Mahatma Gandhi designed by the Government of Czech Republic to remember him on his 150^th Anniversary. The people of India are touched by the gesture of Government of Czech Republic,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University & President ICMEI.

“Mahatma Gandhi has been   not only Indian Hero but he is considered as the great international personality. You will find the largest number of Books, Films, Stamps and Statues on Mahatma Gandhi in the World. He has been considered as the most popular public figure in the World,” added Dr. Marwah.

Richard Hlavaty Director General Department of Foreign Economic Policy also spoke on the occasion. H.E. Milan Hovorka thanked the guest of honor and the large audience consisting of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Diplomats and people from business, art and culture fraternity.

Himachal Pradesh has its Own Charm- Sandeep Marwah

Kasauli: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited Dr. Sandeep Marwah visited Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh to see for himself what more changes can be brought to have a better tourism.

Kasauli is a cantonment and town, located in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The British Raj established the cantonment in 1842 as a Colonial hill station 77 km from Shimla.

“The first thing what I noticed is the traffic Jam at the hills to reach to the hotels. Small and narrow roads cannot accommodate the traffic to hills especially in summers. Immediately bottle necks of the roads must be rectified otherwise the beauty hill station will loose its charm,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah talking to the press.

“Himachal in itself is a beautiful location for film shootings. Government should encourage filmmakers to come forward and explore the virgin beauty of the state. Some interesting subsidies must be planned immediately,” added Dr. Marwah also President of AAFT University (School of Hospitality And Tourism.)
