Indo Peru Culture forum plans future activities

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Embassy of Peru in India and AAFT University of Media And Arts together will plan more cultural activities under Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum.

The Second Secretary of Embassy of Peru in New Delhi, Fabio Subia visited the office of ICMEI to discuss the future plan of IPFCF- Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum. It was decided to have a musical recital by the Peru Group at   Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah also offered to cut the disc of   this visiting group during their stay in India. “We are keen in releasing the music of Peru Group, we will record and release their music disc as part of the forum activity,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“We are thankful to AAFT and ICMEI for hosting the show in the coming month, and beautiful offer to cut the disc. This will bring great awareness   of our relationship to people of both the countries,” said Fabio Subia.

Secretary General ICMEI Ashok Tyagi, Radio Noida Head Sushil Bharti, and Technicians attended the meeting from recording studios. Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT to Fabio Subia.

India South Africa Relations promoted by ICMEI

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts and CD Foundation organised a public interaction with the High Commission of South Africa.

H.E. Ben Joubert, Deputy High Commissioner of South Africa to India was the chief guest who spoke about the prospects of business and tourism in South Africa from Indian point of view. “ I am here to promote business and relation between the two countries. Such interactions reach fast to the people of India. I invite you all to visit my country and see for yourself the beauty of South Africa,” said H.E. Ben Joubert.

National Day of Slovenia Celebrated at AAFT

Noida- June 2019: Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts celebrated the National Day of Slovenia at Marwah Studios.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Jožef Drofenik Ambassador of Slovenia to India and the people of Slovenia on the National Day. Mat this day bring lots of energy and power to built better relations Between the two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair for Indo Slovenia Cultural Forum.

ICMEI is planning to take a delegation to Slovenia soon to study the prospects of filming in Slovenia. Also a film festival of Slovenian films has been planned. New committees on Slovenia have been formed in the school of cinema, school of journalism and school of fashion and design in AAFT.

AAFT to Join Hands With Ministry of Science and Technology

Noida: AAFT University of Media And Arts is probably the biggest network of media professions in the country. More than hundred thousand film, television, print, radio and new media professionals are associated with different activities of the University.

This time AAFT has joined hands with 9th National Science Film Festival of India 2019,the Science Film Festival of Ministry of Science And Technology, Government of India to support the festival in all manners.

“I have full confidence in AAFT and its managing capacities by leader Sandeep Marwah. The other international festivals of AAFT are now known to the World now,” said Adeep Tondon renowned Cinematographer, advisor to Ministry and the founder of Indian Cinematographers Society.

World peace Foundation Nominates Amarjeet as Peace Ambassdor

Noida: A well-known international peace making organisation- World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Marwah Studios nominated Amarjit Singh Chawla   as Peace Ambassador to spread the word of love, peace and unity through art and culture.

Sandeep Marwah Honoured for his Spiritual Activites

Noida: The city magistrate of NOIDA City Shailendra Kumar Mishraappreciated the working style of the most popular film school of the country- AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television based in Marwah Studios, Film city Noida.

“This is my first visit to Asian Academy of Film And Television. I am impressed by the facilities being provided to the students who come here to learn film and television trade. This is one of the oldest skill development center in Noida,” said S.K.Mishra.

New Art Gallery in Town Inaugurated by Dr.Sandeep Marwah

Gurugram: “Art has no religion neither cast, people who love art are always spiritually high. When ever there is an offer to be close to art I grab the opportunity. I have been propagating   love, peace and unity through art and culture,” said Sandeep Marwah while inaugurating the new art gallery in Sushant Lok in Gurugram under the name of Krantz.

Sandeep Marwah also inaugurated the first exhibition of the gallery dedicated to British Master Painter Thomas Gainsborough. The exhibition showcased the art works of Akhil Esh, Hem Raj, Archana Sen Gupta, Bahija Abdouelali from Morocco, Debjani Dey, Liliana Cortina from Cuba, Livet Pena Echemendiadia from Cuba, Nidhi Jain, Purnima Arora, Christina, Raghu Neware, Rajesh Baderia, Sailendra Goswami, Saanya Dahawn, Sansita Gogai and Shalini Tyagi.

International Day for Eliminating Sexual Violence Observed at AAFT

Noida: AAFT University of Media And Arts believe in propagating all the social causes, which United Nations has marked on specific days, and support UNIC- United Nations Information Centre from last few years. A very important event of International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence was observed at   the campus by releasing the poster of the same.

The term “conflict-related sexual violence” refers to rape, sexual slavery, forced prostitution, forced pregnancy, forced abortion, enforced sterilization, forced marriage and any other form of sexual violence of comparable gravity perpetrated against women, men, girls or boys that is directly or indirectly linked to a conflict.

“The term also encompasses trafficking in persons when committed in situations of conflict for the purpose of sexual violence or exploitation,” informed Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations and Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

On 19 June 2015, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 19 June of each year the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, in order to raise awareness of the need to put an end to conflict-related sexual violence, to honor the victims and survivors of sexual violence around the world and to pay tribute to all those who have courageously devoted their lives to and lost their lives in standing up for the eradication of these crimes.

National Day of Iceland Celebrated at ICMEI

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with IIFCF- Indo Iceland Film And Cultural Forum celebrated National Day of Iceland on 19^th June at AAFT University of Media And Arts, Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

ICMEI and Embassy of Tunisia will Work together.

New Delhi: The President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah visited H.E. Nejmeddine LAKHAL Ambassador of Tunisia to India to explain the wide section of activities related to art and culture, conducted by the Chamber.

“We are here to support the embassy to fulfil their aim of high lighting relations between India and Tunisia. Our purpose of starting this chamber is to develop and promote relation between two countries and built a wonderful contact between people of two nations,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

Noida: A powerful meeting was held at the International Head Quarters of ICMEI to plan, design and execute a World Conference on Cinema in the   month of January 2020 in Noida/ Delhi.

New Delhi; H.E. Bulat Sarsenbayev Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India, Government of Kazakhstan has been presented with Patronship of newly formed Indo Kazakhstan Film And Cultural Forum.

H.E. Bulat Sarsenbayev Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India completed his education from Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in Almaty city, Faculty of English Language, Later he completed his LLM from London University.

After heading most important organizations in the country and diplomatic assignments in important countries Mr. Bulat was also The Charge de’Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hellenic Republic.

Then he was nominated as The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Iraq. He was again nominated Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic (non-resident) with concurrent accreditation to the State of Palestine.

Noida: A new powerful committee under the name and banner of Indo Kazakhstan Film And Cultural Forum has been formed under ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment at Noida International Head Quarters of ICMEI.

Sandeep Marwah on the Jury of Global Short films awards at the Cannes.

Cannes: “It was a rare opportunity to be on the jury of most prestigious Global Short Film Awards Cannes 2019 where other important film makers from different countries were also contributing their best,” said Sandeep Marwah president of well-known Marwah Studios of Republic of India at Hotel Intercontinental Carlton Cannes during 72^nd Cannes International Film Festival 2019.

World Telecommunication Day Celebrated at AAFT

Noida: World Telecommunication Day (WTD)has been celebrated annually on 17 May since 1969. The date marks the anniversary of the founding of ITU on 17 May 1865, when the first International Telegraph Convention was signed in Paris. In 1973, the event was formally instituted at the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Malaga-Torremolinos, Spain. A poster was launched at Marwah Studios to mark respect to this day.

“The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

World Bicycle Day celebrated at AAFT

All the directors of different schools of AAFT joined hands together to celebrate the World Bicycle day on 3^rd June as recommended by United Nations in a joint meeting of   faculty at Asian Academy of Film And Television at Marwah Studios.

“The bicycle is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transportation; The bicycle can serve as a tool for development and as a means not just of transportation but also of access to education, health care and sport, “ said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Global Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations highlighting the needs of celebrating bicycle day.

“The synergy between the bicycle and the user fosters creativity and social engagement and gives the user an immediate awareness of the local environment, The bicycle is a symbol of sustainable transportation and conveys a positive message to foster sustainable consumption and production, and has a positive impact on climate,” added Dr. Marwah also Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

AAFT encourages Member of AAFT to adopt best practices and means to promote the bicycle among all members of society, and in this regard welcomes initiatives to organize bicycle rides at the national and local levels as a means of strengthening physical and mental health and well-being and developing a culture of cycling in society.

Global Day of Parents Celebrated at Marwah Studios

Noida: Global Day of Parents was celebrated at Asian Academy of Film And Television at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City to promote the traditions and culture of India.

“Parental love is the only love that is truly selfless, unconditional and forgiving. We never know the love of a parent till we become parents ourselves. Parents were the only ones obligated to love you; from the rest of the world you had to earn it,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Film And Television on the poster launch ceremony on Global Day of Parents at Marwah Studios.

“The depth of the love of parents for their children cannot be measured. It is like no other relationship. It exceeds concern for life itself. The love of a parent for a child is continuous and transcends heartbreak and disappointment,” added Paul Song Director of International Youth Fellowship Korea in the capacity of the Chief Guest of the event.

Baku: Renowned film and media personality Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios is in Baku the capital of Azerbaijan to promote relation between two countries through art and culture.

H.E. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of   Azerbaijan to India recently nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of Indo Azerbaijan Film And Cultural Forum. Many points have been discussed and are now being executed to bring people of two countries close to each other via art and culture.

“This visit to Baku carries the purpose of promotion of our relations with country of Azerbaijan. Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Chancellor of University of Media And Arts was recently invited by the Embassy of India in Baku, on his recent visit to Azerbaijan.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah briefed the officers about the formation of Indo Azerbaijan Film And Cultural Forum and its activities in New Delhi, India by ICMEI and Embassy of Azerbaijan in India.

The forum has recently presented one scholarship to the deserving student to learn cinema in India at AAFT which also includes boarding and lodging. “We have created students committee on Azerbaijan in School of Cinema, Journalism and fashion school. A fashion show showcasing dresses from Azerbaijan was also projected during last Global Fashion Week by ICMEI,” added Marwah.

Baku: The film fraternity of Azerbaijan honoured the Chairperson of Indo Azerbaijan Film And Cultural Forum Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, in a grand function at Baku during his visit to Azerbaijan.

ICMEI Planned Delegation to Azerbaijaan

Baku: Ten-member delegation from India representing International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry- Indo Azerbaijan Film And Cultural Forum has reached Baku to promote relation between India and Azerbaijan through arts and culture.

The delegation has concrete motive of meeting few important people from the country of Azerbaijan including Indian Embassy, people from tourism, social organisations, cultural associations and Event Management companies besides tour of city of Baku.

The delegation is also invited to India Meet at Baku and interaction with film and television personalities of Azerbaijan. They will also attend an award function during the visit.

Raj Kapoor will be Remembered for Life.

New Delhi: A musical evening was organised by Malhaar Sangeet Kala Kendra and Raj Kapoor Legend Group under the leadership of Rameshwar Kumar in the memory of Late Raj Kapoor a great film maker of Indian Film Industry to mark respect on his death anniversary at Lajpat Bhawan.

“I knew Raj Sahib from 1982 to 1988, in all these years I learned two things from him and his way of working: one that love your work so much that people will start loving you automatically and second what ever you do that it should be with total devotion and you should be deeply into it,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios addressing and recollecting his interactions with Raj Sahib in the capacity of Chief Guest.

Many singers from all over India presented the show and sang numbers from the feature films of Raj Kapoor. The audience was overwhelmed with the old numbers and perfect live music by DoReme Band.

Raj Kapoor is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors and filmmakers in the history of cinema and known as “the greatest showman of Hindi cinema”. He received multiple accolades, including 3 National Film Awards and 11 Filmfare Awards in India. The Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award is named after Raj Kapoor. He was a two-time nominee for the Palme d’Or grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his films Awaara (1951) and Boot Polish (1954).

Kejriwal Donates Bus and Metro Service to Ladies

Kejriwal makes travel for ladies free in DTC buses and Delhi metro.- A decision  worth pondering about.

It may seem very attractive for ladies who travel daily by Delhi metro and buses but if you look at a wider perspective, it is quite an unfair and unworthy decision of the Delhi Government and Kejriwal as a person.

If you look at the statistical loss, this decision will result in loss of 1200 Crore to the Delhi Government of the total 33% fare contribution of the women which would now be neglected. The decision for making Delhi Metro free for ladies was made during a press conference on 3rd June 2019.  Where Kejriwal mentioned that this step is for increasing the safety of women passengers.

HOWEVER, I with agreement of most of the Delhi Girls who were asked about their opinion about this decision, thought it to be really stupid. Why...Here is the answer. First of all most of the girls who travel by metro can afford the fare of the metro. Secondly, it cannot be justified in any sense that the action is taken as a safety measure because free travelling will result in compromise of the security as anyone can move in and out of any station according to their wish.

Also Delhi elections are coming up in the state and this can be called a political stunt rather than safety measure. It is really hard to understand why would someone give fare for travelling when they can travel for free. According to Mr Arvind Kejriwal this subsidy can be left by ladies who can afford their travelling expense.

Have you ever seen someone paying for free meals? Or is Mr. Kejriwal so attached by system of "Chanda"that he isn't able to come out of it? Well God Knows if it is "Chanda" or 'Modi Wave' after election.

Cannes: The Indian Pavilion at Cannes International Film Festival is always a meeting point for Indian filmmakers. This time the Pavilion was handled by FICCI. Secretary Information and Broadcasting Amit Khare inaugurated on the first day.

Many film personalities including Rahul Rawail, Bobby Bedi, Bhuvan Lal, Bir, Kangana, Tannistha Chatterjee, Prasoon Joshi, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Daina Penty, Malika Sherawat, Hina Khan, Deepika Padunke and Huma Qureshi visited Cannes.

Pt. Nehru Forum Celebrated Annual Day at Marwah Studios

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum of Marwah Studios organised a seminar on the Role of Media In Politics on the occasion of Death Anniversary of Late Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru at Noida Film City.

A Poster was launched by Dr. Sandeep Marwah to mark respect to the great leader of India where he was remembered for his revolutionary reforms for India. “ We have gathered here to remember the architect of India who has given a new shape to this country. His tenure as Prime Minister from 1947 to 1962 was the most difficult period of establishing India,” said Sandeep Marwah.

Sushil Bharti Director Broadcasting of Marwah Studios initiated the seminar and media leader Rajesh Badal spoke in length about Politics and Media. Badal shared his vast experience with enormous case studies.

World Telecommunication Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios

World Telecommunication Day (WTD)has been celebrated annually on 17 May since 1969. The date marks the anniversary of the founding of ITU on 17 May 1865, when the first International Telegraph Convention was signed in Paris. In 1973, the event was formally instituted at the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Malaga-Torremolinos, Spain. A poster was launched at Marwah Studios to mark respect to this day.

“The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

“World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, like its predecessors, focuses on a particular theme for each event.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ And this year it is ‘Bridging the standardisation gap’,” added Dr. Marwah also Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations.

World No Tobacco Day Observed at Marwah Studio

 Every year, on 31 May, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and global partners celebrate World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). The annual campaign is an opportunity to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.

“The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2019 is on “tobacco and lung health.” The campaign will increase awareness on the negative impact that tobacco has on people’s lung health, from cancer to chronic respiratory disease and the fundamental role lungs play for the health and well-being of all people.,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios while releasing the poster at Asian Academy of Film And Television.

The campaign also serves as a call to action, advocating for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption and engaging stakeholders across multiple sectors in the fight for tobacco control.
