Kejriwal Donates Bus and Metro Service to Ladies

Kejriwal makes travel for ladies free in DTC buses and Delhi metro.- A decision  worth pondering about.

It may seem very attractive for ladies who travel daily by Delhi metro and buses but if you look at a wider perspective, it is quite an unfair and unworthy decision of the Delhi Government and Kejriwal as a person.

If you look at the statistical loss, this decision will result in loss of 1200 Crore to the Delhi Government of the total 33% fare contribution of the women which would now be neglected. The decision for making Delhi Metro free for ladies was made during a press conference on 3rd June 2019.  Where Kejriwal mentioned that this step is for increasing the safety of women passengers.

HOWEVER, I with agreement of most of the Delhi Girls who were asked about their opinion about this decision, thought it to be really stupid. Why...Here is the answer. First of all most of the girls who travel by metro can afford the fare of the metro. Secondly, it cannot be justified in any sense that the action is taken as a safety measure because free travelling will result in compromise of the security as anyone can move in and out of any station according to their wish.

Also Delhi elections are coming up in the state and this can be called a political stunt rather than safety measure. It is really hard to understand why would someone give fare for travelling when they can travel for free. According to Mr Arvind Kejriwal this subsidy can be left by ladies who can afford their travelling expense.

Have you ever seen someone paying for free meals? Or is Mr. Kejriwal so attached by system of "Chanda"that he isn't able to come out of it? Well God Knows if it is "Chanda" or 'Modi Wave' after election.
