New Delhi: Popular Media Personality Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios inaugurated three days cultural festival -The Poush Mela at Indirapuram by Indirapuram Bengali Cultural Society in Association with Paridhi Arts, ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Ministry of Tribal Affairs Government of India from 10 to 12th January 2020.
The three days festival showcased large variety of folk & tribal music and dances from all over India. The local participation added lots of color to this first ever Poush Mela in East Delhi.
“Folk music and dances are the base of our culture. Every song, music, dance, food has some kind of meaning behind it, be a part of history, social activity or even medical reason,” said Sandeep Marwah. This is a wonderful start and I am sure next year this festival will attract people from all over Delhi,” added Marwah.
Poush Festival is there to celebrate the harvest season and first started at Shanti Niketan in Bengal. Nirmal Vaid and Mukesh Sharma of Paridhi coordinated the program.
