New Delhi: The General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution of 12 July 2012 proclaimed 20 March the International Day of Happiness, recognizing the relevance of happiness and well being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.
“It also recognized the need for a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and the well-being of all peoples,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations and President WPDRF- World Peace Development And Research Foundation while first time celebrating the event on line owing to the self curfew imposed due to Corona Virus complications in the country.
Large numbers of messages were sent on mobile and created chat box on line to tell many about International Day of Happiness. Dr. Marwah showed his concern about Corona virus, an uncertain mishap in the World.
