Students and Employees in Panic as PG's get Notices in Noida

Noida: The City is a hub of over 200 educational institutions and thousands reside and come to study in these institutes. For them living far away from their homes Paying Guest accommodations became a major source for stay.

Recently, the District Magistrate of Noida with SSP Noida have decided to shut down those PG's who don't have commercial building licence hence putting down over 100 PG's in Noida itself on Notice. The authorities says that there should not be such accommodations in the residential areas whereas then the question arises that where should these students stay other than in residential area.

According to SSP of Noida, these students and people living in those PG's create law and order issues. Like seriously, how does staying in a PG or on rent be illegal for people. Are those people not from India. Does our constitution not give us rights to stay anywhere in the country with freedom. Even if authorities wish to close down the such commercial activities, they should bother about the students and people who live in these PG's. Their such sudden action has created a major panic in the students who have come to Noida to work or study.

Keshav Kumar, who is a resident of Gurugram, studies in Amity University, Noida is devastated by this step. He had to shift thrice in a month because the authorities have issued notices to vacate the building in 15 Days. He told that he is not able to concentrate on his studies due to this because he is not able to settle down. Harsh Singh, a 37 year old works in an institution in Noida and living alone far from his family in PG is not able to understand where should he go. Their stories tell how people and students living in PG's  in Noida are struggling for settling down for a place to live in.

In past 20 days, 28 PG's of 'Roomsroom' and other 34 PG's have been issued notice to vacate and shut down. Continuous inspections are going on in Noida. But the question remains same where should these thousands of students stay who have come from different cities to study and work  in Noida.
